It isn’t strange for people to disagree with one another. It is perfectly natural. It is healthy to have differing opinions as it leads to an exchange of beliefs and ideas.

This open-mindedness can help us to be more flexible in our personal views and to be willing to adjust our opinions. However, rigidity in our beliefs can lead to self-opinionatedness and cause us to feel trapped in our thoughts.

Working with clients in hypnosis

When working with clients in hypnosis, I believe they are connected to universal energies and fully aware of what is happening. I use a system with many of my clients that help to remove negative emotions and clear away any restrictions that may be present.

It allows my clients the freedom to reach their full potential. A lady recently came to me seeking help to quit smoking.

In addition to addressing her nicotine dependence, I asked about other areas of her life that may be causing stress or anxiety. She confided in me that her son had gotten married, but for some unknown reason, her daughter-in-law didn’t want him to have any contact with his mother.

Understandably, this was causing the woman a great deal of pain. Not only was she grieving the loss of contact with her son, but she also had a grandchild she had never met.

It’s easy to see how this situation could contribute to feelings of hopelessness and despair, making it difficult for her to stick to a quitting smoking plan. By taking a comprehensive approach and addressing all aspects of her life, I hoped to give this lady the best chance possible for success.

Hypnosis Experience

Hypnosis is a trance-like state in which a person is more open to suggestions. In hypnosis, a person’s critical thinking is relaxed, and they are more likely to take suggestions at face value. While in a hypnotic state, a person is still aware of their surroundings and can choose to accept or reject suggestions.

She was guided into a hypnotic state. She was relaxed with her eyes closed. I asked her to imagine a screen up in front of her. The son was behind the screen; he could see and hear her but could not speak to her.

I asked her to pour all he thought out to her son, silently under her breath. She could pour everything out and not be embarrassed with me hearing what she was saying.

When she finished, I told her that her son could now speak. When the son finished speaking, let the conversation go backward and forward and clear the air.

I asked her, “What did he say?” “He said he was just keeping the peace with his wife, not causing any waves.” She answered. The lady returned the following week to report that her son had visited her.

Thoughts can travel without any restrictions on distance. I have seen this happen many times in my own life. A few weeks ago, I helped a lady from Brazil who was having trouble with her son.

The next day, she called me and told me that her son had been in touch with her. Thoughts are powerful; they can travel great distances and profoundly impact our lives.
