The Power of Positive Thought Takes Away Stress and Anxiety

All we are, are thoughts and beliefs.  Thoughts are more powerful than words.  Some of my blog readers may have difficulty in agreeing with that statement.  In my therapy room I tell my   clients there is more happening than we can see, feel, taste, smell and hear.  I call it the ‘universal energies’.  In one of my previous blogs I told the story of the lady who had not seen her son for over two years and had a grandchild that she had never seen.  When she was in a hypnotic state she talked to him and he talked back.  The son came to see her the following week.  That is not an isolated incident.  This helped her to take away the stress and anxiety which was having an effect on her general health. Thought forms travel.  The last session of the Richards Process is putting positive thought out into the universe.  Positive thoughts: positive things happen, taking away the stress and anxiety.   Negative thoughts: negative things happen, creating stress and anxiety

I would like to relate two interesting incidents: one over thirty years ago and one only last week – which made me recollect the previous one.

I had a Nuffield Scholarship to study irrigation in the United States.  The first part was in Georgia.  I love Georgia.  I would like to spend more time in the deep south.  The remainder of the trip was in the western states.  Before I go on I would like to state that I meditate. It’s part of my life. It helps to take away stress and anxiety.

I was in Medford, Oregon, and was travelling on to Eugene.  I had the address of an irrigation company where I had an appointment.  For some reason I didn’t bother to look up on the map the exact location of the company.  Eugene is a comparative large city with two major intersections off the main highway.  I didn’t bother to turn off at the first one but carried on to the second – relaxed, stress-free, enjoying the trip.  Every time I came to a tee-junction or any other times I needed to make a decision on which turn to take I just took the one that I thought was the way.   Then I considered it was about time I looked at the map and find out where I was and where I needed to go.  This was long before mobile phones, and navigational aids were something in the distant future.   I came up to a tee-junction and turned left, to stop and look at the map.  The irrigation company was right in front of me!   A trip without any stress

Only last week my wife and I arranged to go with another couple to the camping and caravan show.  The other couple were delayed and caught a later train. We arranged to meet later at the show, using our mobile phones to make contact.   We just met up!  The show was packed – over a large area, with several thousand people attending.  Is that a coincidence or positive thoughts connecting?  I will let you, the reader, have your thoughts on that.  If you believe that thoughts travel with no limit to distance, it helps to take away stress and anxiety.
