Quit Smoking for a life free of Stress

You Can Change Your Life When You Quit Smoking Relief from the Stress at the same time Information, that is important to all smokers. The more you understand how nicotine has a negative effect, not only on your physical body, also on your mind.  Which at the subconscious level, leads to Anxiety, Stress, Frustration and perhaps ultimately Trauma. You think the cigarette relaxes you, it does not.  You think it stimulates you, it does not. Nicotine is a powerful drug, it fools you. Cigarettes contain 1000’s of chemicals that you would never normally put into your body. These chemicals you normally avoid at all costs,  DDT, tar, carbon monoxide, arsenic and formaldehyde (gas used to preserve animals) Also nicotine.  This is the chemical that causes the addictive habit. Nicotine effect not only the body, also the brain. Nicotine (or continine which is a nicotine by-product) is a greedy drug.  When the nicotine is inhaled, it enters the lungs where it is immediately absorbed into the bloodstream, it is then carried to the heart, liver spleen, brain and other systems of the body.  It effect the hormonal system, blood vessels, sexual organs and sex drive.  It lowers the temperature, also reduces blood flow to the legs and feet.  How more negative do you want? It has a negative effect on your health and your pocket. I never cease to be amazed on how quickly a person can recover.  May times a lady, probably in her late fifties early sixties, comes for help to quit smoking.  They come back the following week and I can hardly recognise them.  The texture has returned...

Life Is A Gamble Causing Stress & Anxiety

Your Daily Life Is A Gamble The knock-on affect is stress and anxiety My two previous blogs I have discusses gambling it’s addiction, how it creates Stress and Anxiety, probably leading to Trauma.  The second blog, helping a client with his gambling shared a unique twist, in that, when I attempted to treat this person for smoking addiction it happened to be the same person who wrote the book which had a blue print to win at roulette!   This client was driving a taxi and his final outcome and factual statement on gambling was that “greed finally takes over”.    In the end you finally lose. Life is a gamble, your career depends on the odds you take.  The majority of my life I farmed in the UK.  You planted a crop, you depended on the weather, the conditions at harvest time and finally the market, as to what price you were going to get.   The same with animals, their health the availability of food and finally the market.  Vegetables even more so as you are dealing with a product that is very perishable. My own experience, it creates stress and anxiety.  Farming in Australia even more so with floods, droughts etc.  Dependent on the weather the market and the political environment; one of them is going to get you.  The incidents of suicides in farming is alarming.  Extreme stress and anxiety and finally extreme trauma. In my eyes Farming is a gamble. Your career, if you are in sales and reliant on commission.   The odds of stress anxiety are much higher, than if you had a stable government job, with an income...

Helping a Gambler and the Consequences

Helping a Gambler Who’s Addicted, To Face the Consequences Last week my blog related to gambling and how it can create stress, anxiety and depression.  These facts come from my own personal experience from gamblers who I have known and clients who I’ve helped.  Just to emphasise the fact, gambling is one of the most vicious and destructive vices that one can become inflicted with.  Finally sliding down the slippery slope.  Leading to stress, anxiety and depression. Here is an interesting twist, with an interesting outcome.  Some time ago in fact a few years ago, a client came to me, his request was to help him with his gambling addiction.  My job is to help the client in whatever direction they want to go.  It is not my job to judge them, or even argue with them.  As long as it fits in with my basic principles and they are not doing any harm to themself or society, it’s OK.  Obviously I’m not going to help them commit a crime.  Also the fact is, there are successful gamblers, my son-in-law being one of them. He has managed two bookmakers shops, he knows the business from top to bottom, he has a very good mathematical brain and he has discipline. He is not what he calls one of the mug punters.  He also has his periods of stress and anxiety, a facts he has accepted. My new client knew a person who’d made his living playing roulette and had written a book, teaching the principles he applied.  It was quite an extensive booklet, it was not a booklet you could read in...

Addictive Gambling Creates, Stress, Anxiety & Depression

I have helped many clients with stress, anxiety & depression caused from gambling addictions It’s destructive in every aspect of their lives.  They go down the slippery slope, finally, destroying their lives.  It’s pathetic to see it happening.  They can lose the money they have got, the money they haven’t got, re borrowing.  Their house, their relationship and finally their health.  Stress, Anxiety and Depression and finally Trauma. I have just helped a client and her big mistake was she initially won over $20,000. Her immediate thought, this is great, this is easy, far better than working.  Down the slippery slope, and finally it all disappeared, the problem she was addicted.  She had the false belief her luck would change and she would win it all back.  No such luck.  All her hard earned earning were lost, she still had the false belief, eventually it would come back plus more.  She lost confidence in herself and difficulty in maintaining a lasting relationship. When you first start gambling you need to lose, so you are immediately confronted with the hard facts, that gambling is losing. I have to admit that there are professional gamblers, they are few and far between. To them it’s a business they study it, are dedicated to it, they have a very firm discipline.  Plus a very acute mathematical brain.  They also have their loses. I have always had very good success helping gamblers.  Now I have the Richard’s Process, it’s added another string to my bow.  Whatever happens in your life, it’s always related to the principle of, cause and effect.  The cause is not...

Control Your Life

Control, Control, Control.  You need control, I need control, everyone needs control. This is a subject I can speak with personal experience. Even when you are working for someone else, you need to be in control of your own situation. Wether it’s small or large. You let other people make decisions, without your own personal input. Down the track you will regret it. In many cases that other person is not thinking about you. He or she is usually only interested in their own personnel situation. Where ever you are in life, you need to be in control. When you loose control, you are like a boat with the sails down and the engine stoped. The boat either drifts out to sea and you are lost, or the boat ends up one the rocks. This my own personal story. With another person we started a business of which the other person had the expertise. I invested the money, he ran the business. Simple and straight forward. This person was basic working class person. Enjoyed the basic enjoyments of life. Re a days work going to the pub and a few beers. He stated with pride, even if he made a million, he would not change, still go to the pub and enjoy a few beers. My situation changed and I had to go overseas, for an extended period of time. So I left him totally in charge, which included the control of the money. He elevated his social image, he was drinking whisky and driving a Mercedes. With my money. Plus he lacked basic acumen. Finally he paid me...

ATTITUDE BALANCE & CONTROL

A few years ago, I put together a motivation presentation called the A,B,C Attitude Balance and Control Attitude It’s a basic fact we design our life with our attitude, we have the ability to change it. You may say it’s the environment. So change it. How you do it? It’s up to you. Changing it evolves you, adding balance and control. I will write about those two in my next two blogs. Your attitude can be positive, negative or slopping around in the middle. What do you want? It’s up to you, only you can make that decision. Do you want your glass to be half full, or half empty? This depends on your attitude. We step back and analyse our attitude, the answer is in our thoughts. All we are thoughts and beliefs. We are just a bundle of thought and beliefs and this is a major factor, determines what is going to happen in our future. We have positive thoughts and beliefs, positive things will happen. Negative thoughts and beliefs, negative things will happen. It’s not rocket science. The person slopping around in the middle, is like a boat with sales down the engine stoped and no rudder. That boat will drift out to sea, be washed up on the rocks, or just go nowhere. Some people want the answer given to them. What do they do? They pay a fortune teller or a clairvoyant, to tell them their future. What happens then? In many occasions it’s self fulfilling proficies. They belief it, they focus on it and in many occasion, by positive thoughts and beliefs, they...
